In celebration of the 35th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), we honor the fundamental truth that everyone has the right to fully participate in all aspects of life - including accessible recreation, health, and adventure.
Throwback to this unforgettable moment when Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger dedicated National Physical Fitness and Sports Month to people with disabilities and sent me off on my historic journey as the first blind woman to bike across America on a tandem bicycle. 3,200 miles. 30 days. Coast to coast.
This was more than a ride. It was a statement: Disability is not inability. With the right support, mindset, and opportunity, we can all go farther than we ever imagined.
Let’s continue building a world where inclusion isn’t the exception, it’s the standard.
